Suddenly the atmosphere and season shifted and you might be wondering what is happening.
It’s the season to let go and let Him! Just like new wine cannot go into an old wineskin so the old things in our life cannot go into the new season with us. Right now, the Lord is purging through the pressing in order to purify the oil that is about to come out through you! He is pressing and purifying to bring about the valuable oil and this process is what will increase the anointing. This pressing is about to cause you to rise higher!
“We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed.
We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down,
but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed.
Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus
so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies.”
-2 Corinthians 4:8-10 (NLT)
How you respond right now is CRUCIAL to what you are about to step into. It is vital right now to linger in “The Secret Place” in His presence and stay in His Word! You need to be patient with yourself and embrace the process you are currently in with JOY! The KEYS to success through this process right now is your full surrender to God, yielding before Him in full humility and your obedience to God! This is what will carry you through. You need to be in listening mode and hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to you right now.
“We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates
and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross,
disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.
Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t
become weary and give up. After all, you have not yet given your
lives in your struggle against sin.
-Hebrews 12:2-4
Focus and be fully intentional in your time with the Lord. Write down what He speaks to you. There are many of you going through a “flesh dying” process. Though it’s intense and painful, it is absolutely necessary. No discipline is pleasant at the time, but the Father disciplines those He loves! He is treating you as His own children. God’s discipline proves His love. I encourage you to read Hebrews 12.
Ask your Heavenly Father to place His lens over your eyes that you may see yourself, those around you, and all your situations and circumstances through His eyes. Ask God for HIS wisdom and increased discernment. Let go of what He says to let go. It could mean that what He asks for you to let go is harmful to you. He also has something much better for you to replace it with! He is removing any impurities so that the oil that will flow through you soon will be PURE! It’s going to be worth it for the sake of His glory and for the Kingdom which is at hand!
Your life has been a difficult one, filled with all sorts of trials. Many times it never made sense and those around you may not have understood you. You may have even felt lonely in your walk with God because of the high level of training that was required for the profession that you are assigned to. These difficult times in your life have not only shaped and formed you for your Heaven assigned purpose but also it has carved out a way where there was no way for the others that are about to follow right behind you. You have been in your obstacle course all along!
You are about to look back and say, “It was worth it!” Everything you have gone through was a tough battle, but God was with you the whole time. He never left you or forsook you! Jesus loves you! God made you in His image. The process you are in right now is adding the final touches just before you are released into the time you have been waiting and longing for. This is a great time to be alive for God is about to move in a way that the Ekklesia has never seen! A Kingdom Alliance DNA Paradigm Shift is about to take place before your very eyes over all the Earth!
As a pioneer and forerunner, you carry something new and unique that is completely and purely Kingdom of Heaven Agenda! The enemy had come against you hard because he is afraid of what is about to be released through you! He wouldn’t have come against you so hard if you didn’t carry something of value. Remember who you are in Christ and what you carry is of high value! Don’t forget the authority you have! Luke 10:19 says, “ Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you.”
The oil that is about to pour out of you is as valuable as the oil of Aaron! This oil will leave a powerful effect on those around you and to those whom you come into contact with.
Steward in well what He has assigned to you. It is imperative that you stay close to the Lord through the secret place daily!
If God is for you, who or what can be against you? (Romans 8:31) No power of Hell can stop what God has already ordained! Lift your heads up high, for you are the Kings and Queens of the most High God!
Your time is upon you. Take the time to slow down, listen, and apply. You got this!
All the glory to our God alone! Thank you Jesus!

I feel the heavy, heavy, weighty glory all over this word… and for a moment, as at other times, the thick, tangible almost intoxicating “fragrance of Christ”; that precious high priest anointing oil, thick with Myrrh, Cinnamon, Cassia, Sweet Calamus, and olive oil, as He moves through these living words of fire, calling them to the page, in the right order.
I’m reminded, as I sense a waft of that fragrance, in my kitchen, reading this, and as I look it up, that it has five costly ingredients. It reflects the 5 ministry gifts, and I think to myself, i shall have to look into this more deeply, and see what the properties of each are, and how they are obtained. I know that Jesus is the fullness of all five, and I also know that he has trained a few, to flow in the same, to some measure at least… I sense that is the “why” it has taken SO long, and been so hard, with SO much crushing, so much cost, pain, rejection, brokenness, loneliness, endurance, faith, patience…
(I also note, that I have, and cook with, at least four of these, but I don’t think we can eat Myrrh!?)
(I’ll look that up later! 😉
There has indeed been a lengthy and costly, and very painful process, in this preparation of the wilderness. it has been forty years since i accepted Christ at 7, fully knowing and choosing to lay my own life down, and live for Jesus. My father, an itinerant preacher, school headmaster (and later minister) had taught me the fullness of the gospel, and we had seen many miracles and great answers to prayer, and we often would come into profound encounters with Holy Spirit and Gods wonderful serendipity… His divine encounters, with many folks over the years.
God’s more intense personal training, and “special forces” obstacle course, though it had already been severe at times, for me began when My wife and I met. We fell in love, yes, but there was more. much more! There was a strong sense of Gods purpose and call right from the start, as well as a strong opposition to us being together, with many things coming against us. physical attacks, health attacks, financial. circumstantial. work. church… family, houses, cars, disasters here and there, one after the other, after the other… at times, seemingly back to back, and often a whole suite of them all stacked up at once on the same day, or week, causing us many times, and often, to consider whether we really had gone the right way… we would find ourselves suddenly given notice on a house, or a business deal would, for no reason, suddenly go horribly wrong, and we would be left wrecked again, and again. So often, we would find ourselves having to choose the Lord, in a circumstance, where we knew it would bring us into great confrontation, with the enemy, or with a person, persons or “ministry”, where compromise was being asked of us, or to lessen integrity, or to walk, some way, not in the fullness of God’s heart.
Psalm 91 says no harm will come near our tent, but that we will see it all around us, with many falling on both sides. This has been SO true. friends, family, ministers, elders, some of those great “heroes” we honoured and loved, and looked up to as precious to us, in our young and growing faith even as we pursued the King IN his love.
We are coming to our 25th anniversary later this year. We will both be 47 soon. And for the only time in our lives, this single year, our three kids will all be “teenagers”. one 19, one 17, one 13… a special year! They too have known a huge amount of suffering, waiting, both great blessing, but also great poverty. we have endured almost 5 years complete homelessness, staying with various family and friends
We have ministered here and there, and served in various places. trained, or worked in this or that… but it’s all felt like an obstacle course. a training and proving ground for some distant and far greater thing that we could only ever faintly glimpse by faith, in the breath of the spirit as a word touched our hearts here or there… as a prophecy refocused our gaze, and pursuit, and re-oriented our path, our compass, our bearing.
But… There has been a major shift. This last year, we have been able to finally put into words, and focus, and SEE that which was formerly a deep crying and groaning, a longing, a desire. We have been able to see just on the horizon, as it were, that distant cloud, “small as a man’s hand”, bearing the promise of a great and heavy downpour of God’s presence… of his rains, of revival, and of the arrival and springing up again of hope, once deferred, now rekindled, and ablaze… with a whirlwind behind it!
We are giving birth to, and manifesting, that which we have been pregnant of the Holy Spirit with, these many years. With Mary, we too cried out “be it unto me as you say Lord!”, and with Elijah, we too shall, from our caves, Arise, go forth, and Anoint, Kings, and disciples, turning the hearts of the fathers, and mothers to the sons and daughters. We are birthing the new wine, and the new wine skin, the new oil, and it is not cheaply bought, with marketing campaigns and fundraising, with man’s ways, and a nicely groomed network of vip’s.
Tolkein saw, and through Gandalf speaks great truth, that it is not the great and powerful that have kept evil at bay, but rather the small, and ordinary folk who, with every day acts of kindness and love, unseen by most with big egos, and big ministry names, who paraded first, as Paul Notes, at the beginning of the procession, whilst “we apostles” are last, in all things! Broken and battered…
I abruptly ended my “ministry training” qualification at a well known bible college in London, when the Lord called me out… to “lay it all down”, like Isaac on the altar, and trust him with our future, with no “earthly qualification”, (and reputation in ruins!) with only one term to go! It was, (up until that time) the single costliest and most painful step of obedience, my wife and I had gone through. (He has done this many times over, in many ways, and far, far more costly since!)
We were all asked to all write a page for the yearbook, which would then be published, and distributed. I doodled a piece of art, based on the scripture you quoted above, (2 corinthians 4:10) as I mused what to say, how to sum up two agonizingly painful years of ministry, and intense learning, and the intense breaking and re-molding process that we were being refined through…
“We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed.
This has been our journey, and this word has spoken powerfully at the exact time, (two years after you wrote it) that it was needed for us, as we are at this moment on the threshold, of crossing into our “promised land”. (it’s not what we expected!) (it’s better!!) And more, coming, like David into our Kingship, and rulership, of God’s assigned governmental authority, over the kingdom realm we have been given dominion over, and like Joseph, to our place of being able to finally realize all those longings, and dreams, in the place they were intended for all along by God, which was at the time, out of sight, and an absolute impossibility!
The Lord told us;
“I sent you, you obeyed…
I called you to sacrifice it all, You obeyed…
Now I AM qualifying YOU… not man!”
Many thanks for your encouragement, and for seeing this and knowing, and living this word, and for sharing this obediently and humbly, as per the King’s orders. We pray much fruit upon your ministry, and your family, and great return upon your seed, as you have sown freely into others the words of life, to sustain, to comfort, to council, and to guide them as The King leads. We bless you, in Jesus name, and we call forth the anointing & fragrance upon your life as you serve, and honour the King in His courts, and in service to his sons and daughters, as His spirit gives you grace and instruction, and fresh fire from the alter, accompanied by the beautiful sweet fragrance of your life laid down for Him.
Tuck your belt into your tunic!
and get ready to run!
now let the rains begin!!!
