The Value of Intimacy with God

Staying close to God is so vital! Getting into the secret place daily is so important! We have the same amount of hours in a day that David, Moses, Abraham, Elijah, and anyone else before us did.  Let’s take a look at Daniel, he prayed and gave thanks to God 3 times a day (Daniel 6:10).  He did this intentionally no matter what the situation was.   It is a choice he made and anything he went through did not move him from that decision.  By giving thanks to God, he positioned himself properly to go before God in full faith.

What was so special about those that have walked before us that God used to demonstrate His glory and power through?  Think about them.  There was David, Elijah, Daniel, Noah, Moses, Abraham, etc.  There was only one thing common amongst them all.  They had a deep intimate relationship with God.  Each one of them consistently spent time with God alone in the secret place.   There is no secret formula.  Just spending time alone with God, our first love.  That’s it, that’s the key!

It is first the intimacy with God, then the obedience.  By spending time with God in this way is how they got to know who God was and what was in His heart.  Each one of them were very close to God and carried His heart.  Not only that, but they also acted upon the “desires” of His heart.  There would have been no other way for them to know the desires of God’s heart if they didn’t spend time with Him.  Even Jesus spent many times alone with God (Mark 6:46, Luke 6:12, Mark 1:35, Luke 5:16, Matthew 26:36).

Spend more time with God and you will get to know Him better
and be able to align with the frequency of the Father’s heart.

It is in this time of intimacy with God, that you will experience the love of God in a way you have not, be refilled with the strength and energy you need that you have been drained from, receive the encouragement that you need, be given the opportunity to be relieved of the burdens that are not yours to carry, to experience deep revelations of Him and His word that can only come from Him, be able to hear Him more clearly over time, be set free from daily distractions and hindrances, and it will strengthen and deepen your walk and relationship with Christ even more.

It’s time to put some things aside that you like and want to do and give that time to God.  It is not a bad thing to do things that you like or want to do.  I am saying it is time to re-evaluate your priorities.  It is important that you identify what God is doing in this season as it is vital to your calling and purpose.  Talk with the Holy Spirit and find out if there may be things in your day that are a waste of time.   Ask the Holy Spirit to expose if there have been any time thieves assigned against you to steal time (yes, they are real) so you can break it off in prayer*.  Ask the Holy Spirit to help you with your daily time with God.  Ask Him to help you! He is really good at helping, advising, reminding and is eager to do so!  Ask and you shall receive!  Just ask in full faith and see what your living God will do for you.

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will
find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”
-Matthew 7:7(NLT)

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness,
and all these things shall be added to you.”

-Matthew 6:33 (NLT)

Make the most of your time. See and grasp the value of being properly positioned before God.

What is it that you would like God to do for you?

All the praise, honor, and glory be unto our living God alone!  God bless you, abundantly!

* To break of daily hinderances of time: 1.)Pray to break off all of those ungodly assignments 2.) Pray and ask for all darts sent specifically to hinder your daily time that has been sent against you.  3.) After you pray to break off those time thief assignments, then ask for time to be restored in Jesus name.

Prayer:

O Sovereign God, I come before you in a heart of thankfulness and praise.  Thank you for everything you have done, are doing, and will be doing.  Thank you for the way you had your hand upon your people back in Egypt and how you have your hand upon your people now.

God, I just come before you and thank you for the way you have had your hand upon this child of God reading right now.  I pray that you will give this child of God eyes to see.  Place your lens from your eyes God, on top of their lens on their eyes right now.  I pray they will see themselves, all their situations and circumstances, and those around them through your perspective.  I ask You to release your wisdom and discernment to the levels you know this child of God needs it, now.  Thank you for giving this child of God reading right now the divine insight and strategies they need for the next steps.  I ask God that You alone go forth and connected all the puzzle pieces together for this child of God.

O Sovereign God, if this child of God has done anything that you do not approve of, I forgive them and I ask you to forgive them now.  I ask for your hand of grace and mercy to be released upon this child of God right now.

Thank you for all that you have done, are doing, and will be doing for this child of God.  Release winds of encouragement and refill all the energy this child of God has used with a strength that can only come from you.  I ask for a release of the oil of gladness, for the joy of the Lord shall be their strength!  Rivers of living water be release to quench all the dry places to fill them now!

Everything I have asked, I asked in the name of Jesus and fully believe that this is received, sealed, and done in Jesus name NOW!!!
